Vero has been appointed by a leading international energy services company to recruit an ambitious accountant into the role of Corporate Development Analyst. The role of Corporate Development Analyst is extremely varied and will provide the successful candidate with an overview of the entire business, with excellent networking opportunities across all areas of the business, including interaction with key senior decision makers.
More recently, our client is expanding its role in green energy and are actively pursuing opportunities in this area to implement renewable energy as an integral part of the business going forward. This focus on the energy transition is a key part of our client’s strategy and the Corporate Development Analyst will play a key role in supporting with the evaluation of opportunities going forward.
The position of Corporate Development Analyst will suit a Chartered Accountant with strong academic achievements, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and strong Excel skills. Consideration will be given to accountants looking to leave practice for a challenging corporate finance role in industry, with either an audit, transactions, or corporate finance background. Applications from candidates with prior experience in a similar role are also encouraged.
Quite specific to the role is the fact that it also encompasses Investor Relations, so involves the quarterly earnings call preparation for bond holders. The company is active in the M&A market and has made a significant acquisition during the past three years.
The successful candidate will play a key role in both M&A and Investment opportunities, re-financings, Board Reporting, and yearly Budget setting. The Corporate Development Analyst will work with the Group Model for forecasting and sensitivity analysis, as well as providing market analysis and tracking. Exposure to working with Ratings Agencies is also a key part of the role.
