The role:
This is a newly created, business-critical position that will see the Cost Analyst work as a key partner to Sales, Finance, Projects, and Leadership. Sitting out-with the Finance function, but closely aligned to FP&A and reporting directly to the Chief Operating & Financial Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape how data is utilised to support commercial decisions across the Group.
The Cost Analyst will build and maintain detailed cost models, perform variance analysis, support monthly reporting cycles, and contribute to long-range planning. They will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure cost transparency, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance financial visibility across the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing data-driven presentations for senior leadership, including board and investor audiences, playing an active role in shaping strategic decisions. This role will also have significant involvement in the ongoing development of Motive’s PowerBI and AI capabilities (note: software development experience is not required).
Who are we looking for:
We are seeking a commercially astute Cost Analyst with experience in cost analysis, planning, estimating, and financial modelling. Strong systems capability is essential, with proficiency across ERP, Excel, and BI/reporting platforms.
You will be a confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally, and able to present complex financial data to non-financial audiences. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines are key.
A growth mindset is essential — you will proactively challenge inputs, drive efficiencies, and take ownership of your work. Previous experience interpreting contracts, and understanding their implications on forecasting, would be highly advantageous.
What’s on offer:
In return, Motive Offshore is offering a highly competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to play a visible role within a high-growth, private equity-backed organisation.
