Vero has been appointed by a leading integrated energy company in Aberdeen to recruit an experienced accountant on an interim basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The Finance Manager role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract, with an expected start date ideally in March to allow for a thorough handover.

You will ideally be a professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualifying experience, although qualified by experience applicants are also encouraged to apply. You must have an impeccable eye for detail, and be looking to add a great deal of value to your next role.
You will have the ability to think on your feet and to work autonomously, supported by a fantastic Financial Controller.
The role:
The Finance Manager is a senior finance and accounting position in the Region, with authority and responsibility to undertake, oversee and direct as appropriate, the finance, accounting, reporting, banking, tax and certain administrative activities of the organisation.
The Finance Manager will take a leadership role to deliver the business plan, ensuring that Group policies, procedures, objectives and interests are properly supported, implemented and advocated in region.
This will include, but is not limited to, budgeting and forecasting, business performance management, cash collection, internal reporting, and external reporting.
