Vero Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to recruit a Finance Manager for a high-growth energy services business based in Aberdeen.
This is a hands-on, highly visible finance role, offering the opportunity to drive operational efficiency, provide strategic insight, and influence business performance across multiple revenue streams.

The opportunity:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will oversee financial performance for three core business lines. You will have one direct report and support from a centralised transactions function and a Management Accountant.
This is a high profile role, offering the chance to develop policies and procedures, optimise financial processes, and take ownership of the numbers. You will act as a true business partner to operational and commercial teams, supporting strategic decision-making, efficiency initiatives, and developing their ERP system.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis
- Provide variance analysis and insight into key performance drivers
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyse costs, margins, and profitability; identify areas for efficiency improvement
- Act as a financial business partner to operational and commercial teams
- Support contract reviews, pricing decisions, and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Drive process improvement across finance systems and reporting
Who we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Post-qualification experience in industry, ideally energy or related sectors
- Proven experience in project and management accounting
- Strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- ERP experience
- Commercially minded, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, drive efficiency, and implement improvements
