The role:

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will support the Subsea division through robust financial analysis, project accounting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a newly created role within a fast-paced, project-driven environment and will suit someone who enjoys working with data, building insight, improving processes, and partnering closely with operational stakeholders. The role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to play a key part in helping shape scalable financial frameworks during a significant growth phase.

Key duties will include:

  • Producing high-quality financial analysis and supporting management reporting activities
  • Developing and improving Excel-based financial models, reporting tools, and data analysis processes
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cashflow forecasting, and variance analysis activities
  • Reviewing project sales invoicing, analysing project costs, and supporting international intercompany accounting processes
  • Collaborating closely with operational and departmental managers to improve financial visibility and decision-making
  • Monitoring expenses, identifying trends and anomalies, and supporting cost control initiatives
  • Driving process improvements and automation across finance operations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations, schedules, and audit preparation
  • Mentoring and supporting members of the finance team

 

Who are we looking for:

This role is ideally suited to an analytically minded finance professional with previous experience in a similar position, working at either a Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or Financial Controller level within an SME. 

The successful candidate will possess strong Excel capability and confidence working with large datasets and financial systems. Experience with WIP accounting, fixed assets, capital projects, and intercompany accounting would be highly advantageous.

Equally important is the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders, alongside a proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for improving processes and driving efficiencies.
