Vero Recruitment is looking to source an experienced, tech-savvy Finance Transformation Manager for our client. The Finance Transformation Manager will work on a fully remote basis, with some travel to a range of African countries where most of our client’s projects are currently focused.

The opportunity:

The Finance Transformation Manager will develop and shape the department, whilst acting as a true business partner to senior management.
The role:
To build a finance function that is central to the organisation and which can deliver real, tangible value.
The Finance Transformation Manager will be responsible for helping to revolutionise the finance function - used to support and partner in decision making rather than being seen as a cost centre. This will include looking at best-practice for systems, processes and procedures, as well as developing positive relationships across the organisation.
The Finance Transformation Manager will manage and develop one Accountant.
In addition to project work, The Finance Transformation Manager will also be responsible for the day to day running of the department, supported by a small team.

Who are we looking for:
- Professionally qualified accountant
- Comfortable working within a fully remote team - understanding the unique benefits and challenges this brings
- Previous experience working within a consulting firm is beneficial but not essential
- Previous experience working in a high-growth or start-up environment would be highly beneficial, but not essential
- Previous experience gained during periods of transformation or change is essential
- Organised, able to prioritise requests coming from different directions
- Knows how to constructively get their voice heard
- Sleeves rolled up attitude, yet can see the bigger picture
- Ability to put finance at the centre of the organisation
- Deep interest in business and how the finance function can help the business to deliver
- Advocates for diversity in all its forms
- Comfortable learning new tools and software
