Vero Recruitment has been exclusively appointed by a pioneering tech business to recruit a Fractional CFO. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in a high-growth, mission-led organisation as it prepares for its next institutional investment round.

The role:
The Fractional CFO will lead the financial strategy and execution of the business through its upcoming institutional equity raise.
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the board and external advisors, the CFO will be responsible for ensuring financial readiness for investment, supporting corporate finance engagement, and overseeing financial governance during this transformative phase.
Key responsibilities will include ownership of the investment model, creation of investor materials, due diligence readiness, and strategic guidance on investor alignment. The CFO will also support scenario planning, business model validation, cost assumptions, and productisation economics, ensuring financial decisions align with the wider commercial roadmap.
This is a part-time, high-impact role suited to a strategic, hands-on finance leader who can guide the business confidently through the next stage of growth.
Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for a commercially sharp CFO with a strong track record of leading equity raises, ideally in early-stage or scaling technology businesses.
You’ll have the confidence to advise senior leadership, challenge assumptions, and present financial insights credibly at board and investor level. Familiarity with strategic and government-backed investors is desirable, as is experience in IP structuring, licensing, and JV arrangements.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and credible communicator, capable of operating in a fast-paced, lean, and technically complex environment.
