The role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Group Accountant will predominately be responsible for leading the preparation and reporting of accurate financial information in a timely manner and ensuring the compliance requirements of the Group are delivered. This is a varied role, which includes preparation of monthly accounts, supporting the global audit process and compliance requirements of the Group.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation and reporting of consolidated monthly accounts for the trading Group, including indirect costs, calculation and booking monthly interest charges and SG&A reporting
• Preparation of FX adjustments, intercompany eliminations and reconciliation of the intercompany position on a monthly basis
• Leading the engagement with external auditors, both domestic and internationally to ensure audit work is completed in line with the agreed timetable
• Preparation of annual accounts for statutory reporting purposes, including for UK legal entities and permanent establishments
• Engagement with external compliance/ tax advisors to identify and deliver upon the international reporting for foreign jurisdictions
• Action ad-hoc project specific compliance requirements identified as our client continues to undertake projects in new jurisdictions
• Facilitate the completion of Corporation Tax returns for all UK legal entities by providing requested information to outsourced tax advisors
Who are we looking for:
• Fully qualified accountant
• Previous experience working in industry desirable
• Strong IT skills
• Team player with the ability to work effectively unsupervised
• Strong evaluation and analytical skills. High attention to detail is crucial to identify and extract relevant information
• Ability to manage and deliver several ongoing work scopes
• First class interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
