Group Cash Controller - Aberdeen

Vero has been engaged to recruit an ambitious accountant into the highly visible and critical role of Group Cash Controller. Working with a fantastic team of finance professionals, in a collaborative and flexible environment, the successful individual will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and the CFO.

Who are we looking for:

 

To be considered, you must be fully qualified with previous experience of cashflow management. Impeccable attention to detail is a must, with a confident outlook and first class communication skills being essential. 

Could suit an individual with a couple of years post qualification experience as a minimum, looking to take on a challenging group role with first class future prospects. 

 

The role:

 

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Cash Controller will be responsible for the overall cashflow management of the Group, cashflow forecasting information, and reports that are provided to the Board and to lenders and shareholders.  Working at corporate level, key responsibilities will include cashflow management, reporting and forecasting.  The role will also manage and/or support internal working capital initiatives to optimise the group and local cash positions.

The Cash Controller will be expected to work closely with the Senior Finance Representatives responsible for the financial operations across their Business Units, understanding the working capital drivers and cash needs on an ongoing basis, identifying areas of cashflow and working capital performance and financial improvement.  You will then be expected to work with colleagues to deliver these improvements. 

In addition, the successful individual will be responsible for he CAPEX approval and review process, and for ensuring that IFRS16 entries relating to asset leases are accounted for.
