Who are we looking for:
Position is suited to a recently qualified accountant (newly to three years PQE) who is looking to make a progressive first move into industry. Industry trained applicants are also encouraged to apply.
The role:
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will assist with the preparation and analysis of accounts for the holding company and the group property business, assisting with subsidiary businesses as required.
The Group Financial Controller will work alongside the Group Management Accountant and Company Secretary at group level, and through that will be involved in the accounting for the Group entities as well as supporting various group related matters such as VAT, payroll, corporation tax and treasury.
At month-end, the role will also provide support to subsidiaries as required.
The Group Financial Controller will have involvement in various non-financial matters that are required for the effective running of the businesses, and will be supported by the Group Finance Director in this.
Opportunities to get involved in commercial matters, project management, financial analysis, benchmarking, diligence, and some M&A is also available.
