The role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for all accounting and financial activities for our client, as well as the group consolidation, and other general and admin support as required.
As a developing E&P business, they operate a lean but highly efficient finance function.
Overview:
- Monthly management accounts reporting
- Annual financial statement preparation
- External and internal audit assistance including impairment testing and going concern assessment
- Assist with budget and forecasting
- Support the preparation of tax filings to HMRC with consultation with tax agent/advisor
- Provide treasury support to the Group
- Processing of third-party invoices and staff expenses
- Monitor accounts payable and the preparation of payment runs in the online banking system
- Record actual results in the financial systems
- Accruals and prepayments
- Intercompany invoicing, review and reconciliation
- Accounting for IFRS16 leases, DDA, ARO
- Prepare reconciliations, reports and consolidation for month-end closing cycles
- Assist with procurement, raising and tracking costs against Pos
- JV accounting
Who are we looking for:
The position is suited to an experienced accountant with previous upstream finance experience.
