This is an excellent opportunity to join a complex, global business at an important stage of its development, working closely with senior finance leadership across both Corporate FP&A and Corporate Development.
Offering considerably more breadth than a traditional FP&A position, the role combines financial planning, commercial analysis and strategic decision support with involvement in M&A, joint ventures and capital investment opportunities.
Who is our client:
Our client is a well-established international organisation with a significant global presence, operating across multiple markets and providing specialist services to a diverse customer base. The business has built a strong reputation within its sector, supported by long-standing customer relationships, substantial operational capabilities and an experienced international leadership team.
With a continued focus on operational excellence, financial discipline and sustainable growth, the Group is progressing a range of initiatives designed to strengthen performance, improve efficiency and support its longer-term strategic ambitions.
The finance function has an important role to play in this next stage of development, providing the financial insight, commercial analysis and strategic support required to inform decision-making across the organisation. This creates an attractive environment for ambitious finance professionals looking to gain exposure to complex commercial challenges and contribute to meaningful business decisions.
The opportunity:
The Senior FP&A Analyst will play an important role within the Corporate Finance function, supporting the Group's financial planning and forecasting activities alongside a broad range of Corporate Development projects.
Working closely with senior leadership and international finance teams, the successful candidate will gain exposure to complex financial modelling, strategic investment decisions and potential M&A activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Group's strategic planning, annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to support business performance analysis, scenario planning and strategic decision-making.
- Analysing monthly and quarterly financial performance, identifying key trends and providing meaningful insight to senior leadership.
- Preparing financial analysis and presentations for the Senior Leadership Team, Board, investors and other external stakeholders.
- Supporting Corporate Development activities, including the financial evaluation of potential acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic opportunities.
- Undertaking valuation analysis, financial due diligence and modelling of potential transaction synergies and integration impacts.
- Evaluating capital investment opportunities and supporting decisions around the allocation of capital across the Group.
- Working closely with international finance teams to consolidate financial information, challenge assumptions and improve the quality of financial reporting and forecasting.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the Corporate FP&A function, including financial processes, reporting and analytical capabilities.
Who are we looking for:
We are interested in speaking with ambitious, commercially minded finance professionals who enjoy financial analysis, complex modelling and understanding the wider strategic drivers of a business.
The role could suit an experienced FP&A, corporate finance/corporate development professional looking to broaden their exposure.
Ideally, you will offer:
- A professional accounting qualification, with relevant experience gained in FP&A, Corporate Development, Corporate Finance or Transaction Advisory.
- Strong financial modelling capabilities, including valuation techniques and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
- Experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or investment appraisal activities.
- An understanding of M&A, financial due diligence and transaction evaluation, or a strong desire to develop in these areas.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate meaningful commercial insights.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the ability to present clear, well-structured financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how international businesses operate.
Why consider this opportunity:
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone seeking greater variety, responsibility and exposure to strategic finance.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- Direct exposure to senior leadership: Working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting decision-making at Group and Board level.
- A genuine combination of FP&A and Corporate Development: Involvement in both ongoing financial performance and strategic transactions, including potential M&A activity.
- International breadth: Exposure to a complex global organisation with operations across multiple countries and business units.
- Meaningful commercial influence: Financial analysis and modelling that directly support capital allocation, investment decisions and business strategy.
- Career development: The opportunity to build a broad and highly transferable skill set across important areas of corporate finance.
Our client offers a highly competitive remuneration package alongside the opportunity to develop within an established international organisation focused on continued improvement and long-term growth.
