Vero has been engaged by a truly pioneering energy service business in Aberdeen to recruit an ambitious accountant into the role of Senior International Accountant.

The role:


The Senior Accountant will be responsible for undertaking accounts based tasks as instructed by the Financial Controller.


• Provide financial support to projects/regions including US, Africa, Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Oceania

• Provide financial support with internationalisation of business including contracting structure proposals, tax advice and co-ordination of the entity/branch set up process with the Legal Department

• Provide financial support including Treasury and Tax support on US, Africa, Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Oceania tenders

• Support the Group’s Foreign Exchange Exposure to agreed policy using spot trades, forward contracts, swaps and other financial instruments

• Deliver timely, accurate management and statutory reporting for Regions in accordance with local reporting requirements

• Responsible for Regional tax management/ compliance including withholding tax, VAT, Corporate Tax, Personnel Tax and Tax Audits

• Support the banking relationship including providing monthly/quarterly reporting requirements as stipulated in Financing Agreement, highlighting potential areas of concern regarding covenant compliance and proposing measures to mitigate

• Produce the Group cash flow forecast supported by the Project Accountants for the Chief Financial Officer

• Build and maintain strong and transparent relationships with the Bank and Auditors

• Assist in the annual Regional Budget process

• Preparation/review of balance sheets and reconciliations


Who are we looking for:


To be considered you must be a fully qualified accountant with at least two years of industry experience.
