The role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Project Accountant will take full responsibility for management accounting and project finance across assigned entities. This is a visible and hands-on role, working closely with senior leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality reporting, enhance controls and support decision-making in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
Key duties will include:
- Preparing and submitting forecasts, management accounts, budgets and financial reports to tight deadlines
- Managing financial tracking and reporting for significant projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with contract terms
- Monitoring project costs, revenue recognition and margins
- Supporting cash management
- Leading fixed asset reconciliations, capital sanction submissions, and intercompany reporting
- Producing detailed product costing, margin analysis and labour rate setting
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate billing, timely collections and financial issue resolution
- Enhancing management information to support operational and strategic goals
- Supporting audits and continually improving processes and internal controls
Who are we looking for:
This position will suit a professionally qualified accountant with proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a complex, multinational environment. Strong IT skills, a high degree of commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and collaborative team player, systematic in their approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders and provide clear financial insight to both local and Group management.
